How LuxuryPigs emerged from a dream 🐹💛

My name is Andrea – a mom, wife, creative spirit, and guinea pig lover through and through. I live with my family and many little furballs in a house near Gießen. Perhaps you know Frankfurt? It's not far away – but my heart beats for the small, cozy moments at home… especially those with fluffy guinea pigs.

It all started quite innocently. I just wanted a nice enclosure.
Not just any old one. But a real little guinea pig paradise.
With a fountain, a castle, cozy houses – a place where my animals are not just "accommodated," but truly feel at home.

Ideas were bubbling in my head, but when it came to sawing, screwing, tinkering… phew – that wasn't really my thing. So (as women sometimes do 😅) I appealed to my husband until he cut the wood for me. Then I embellished, sanded, built – and realized:
I want more. I want the best for my animals.

Step by step, not only our enclosure but also a vision was born.

🌿 I researched, read, took courses.
🥬 I questioned feeding concepts, mixed, adapted, improved food.
🛠️ I tried out products – and too often shook my head:
Much of it is neither well-thought-out nor safe. Some things are even dangerous.

And then I knew: I'll just do it myself.

I started putting together food myself, designing accessories, building houses – all with one goal:
To care for guinea pigs in a species-appropriate, safe, and loving way.

I love sharing my experiences. Every day, people write to me who love as much as I do – their animals.
